Review for Designs by Michele

Relationship: Client

Project Date: September 2013

Project Price Range: $7,000.00

Michele worked with me on my master bedroom last year. The room was in need of a total makeover as it had not been decorated in the past. Michele totally transformed the room from floor to ceiling to the sanctuary I was looking for that was within my budget. She took care to make sure the smallest details were perfect, selecting fabrics and colors that suited my taste. i appreciated her insight and patience. She also worked with knowledgeable and reliable seamstresses and carpenters. I couldn't have been happier.

Project Price Range: $10,000.00

Michelle helped me decorate my 1866 federal victorian home with new window treatments which were badly needed in light of two upcoming family weddings. We did my living room, dining room and two windows in my dressing room. She helped me consider fresh new options to the curtains and drapes I had always used by suggesting relaxed romans which I probably never would have considered on my own. I was a bit nervous about it all since I had never hired an interior decorator before, but Michelle was wonderfully sensitive to that and set my mind at ease. Her guidance with color/fabric/design choices was invaluable to me as were her suggestions for trim. She suggested we top the relaxed roman sheers in the living room with a London valance and the windows turned out more beautiful than I could ever have imagined.
I still smile each time I consider my treatments - they have truly enhanced our home. The icing on the cake was when Michelle suggested our home for an article in the Albany Times Union publication, "Life at Home." The magazine editor came and approved our home for a feature article and my husband and I were tickled pink!
